Enjoy our first stop by delighlig yourselves with a cup of local cypriot coffee made with a finely ground coffee that is boiled in a tall, narrow pot known as a briki. The coffee is very strong with foam on the top called a kaimaki and served with the coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup and a glass of water. Or if you prefer international coffee, feel free to ask the waiter of their menu availability.

St. Barnabas Monastery is closely linked to the Apostle Barnabas, one of the key figures in early Christianity. The monastery is believed to house the tomb of St. Barnabas.
Exploring the Salamis Theatre, Gymnasium, and Baths is a journey back in time, allowing you to connect with the vibrant history of this ancient city and appreciate the architectural marvels left behind by its inhabitants. Salamis was a major city in antiquity, and its archaeological site offers extensive ruins that date back to various periods, including Roman, Hellenistic, and Byzantine. The Salamis Theatre is one of the most iconic features of the archaeological site. This well-preserved Roman theater could seat thousands of spectators and was used for various performances and events. The gymnasium was a central place for physical training and education in the classical world. Discover the remains of the Roman baths in Salamis. These baths were an integral part of Roman urban life, offering spaces for bathing, socializing, and relaxation. Admire the architectural details that reflect the sophistication of Roman engineering.
Visiting Saint Nicholas Cathedral/Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque offers a unique opportunity to witness the intersection of different cultures and historical periods in Cyprus. It’s a place where the architectural beauty of a medieval cathedral converges with the cultural traditions of Islam. Marvel at the exterior facade of the cathedral, which features pointed arches, intricate stone carvings, and towering buttresses. Explore the interior of the mosque to appreciate its architectural and decorative elements. Look for remnants of the cathedral’s original features, including columns, arches, and stained glass windows.
Two hours of free time to enjoy the local café and bakeries, souvenir shopping or an authenitic lunch meal. If times permit, you can take a stroll through the historic walled city of Famagusta. Walk along the city walls and explore the charming streets. Admire the medieval architecture, and if time allows, visit nearby landmarks such as Othello’s Tower.
We will begin your journey back to Pafos. Enjoy the scenic drive and capture any sights you might have missed on the way.
The coach will leave you at the original pick up point at the end of the tour. Several stops will be made to drop off all travellers who joined the tour.
